THE 2008 BEN FRANKLIN EMERGING BUSINESS AWARDS (BENNIES) WERE HELD APRIL 22ND AT THE PHILADELPHIA UNION.
The 14th Annual Bennies Awards took place April 22nd at the Philadelphia Union League.
The Bennies honors regional companies that are fast emerging on the business scene. Founded by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania and The Entrepreneur's Forum of Greater Philadelphia, the awards afford stellar young companies the opportunity to be recognized for their tireless efforts. Winners receive seed money, contacts, and exposure, which help them further accelerate their business growth.
The Bennies are sponsored by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/SEP), the Minority Angel Investor Network, the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia (EFGP), SR One, and CBIZ.
Carol Ericson, meteorologist and newscaster for CBS3 was Mistress of Ceremonies.
This year's show attracted over 150 people.
